- Profile data: age, weight, height, fitness goals, and dietary preferences you enter during onboarding.
- Food logs: meals, photos, and nutritional data you log in the App.
- Chat messages: conversations with the BiteChat AI coach.
- Recipes: recipes you create, save, or share within the App.
We also collect information automatically:
- Usage data: features used, screens visited, and interaction patterns.
- Device information: device type, operating system, and app version.
- Crash reports: error logs to help us fix bugs.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and personalise the App experience.
- To generate AI-powered nutrition estimates and coaching responses.
- To send account-related emails (verification, password reset).
- To improve the App through analytics and crash reporting.
- To process subscription payments (via Apple App Store / Google Play).
- To respond to support requests.
3. Data Storage
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore and Authentication), hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure. Data may be stored on servers located outside your country of residence.
4. AI Processing
Food photos and descriptions you submit are processed by third-party AI providers to generate nutritional estimates. These providers are bound by data processing agreements and do not use your data to train their models without consent.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:
- Service providers: Firebase, AI providers, and analytics tools used to operate the App.
- Legal authorities: when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
- Business transfers: in the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred as a business asset.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from the App settings, which will permanently remove your personal data within 30 days.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
